For The Momby

Just in case she didn’t get my phone call the other day, I thought I’d update my page with a little happy birthday note to “the Momby”.
I’m not much for singing the birthday song, so hopefully the written word will do.
I hope you enjoyed your weekend of birthday frivolity, and that you got everything you asked for…(except perhaps for having Jack fly in through the window on a magic carpet.)
I’m sorry they’ll be a little late, and you probably don’t feel you need anything, but know that your gifts will be in your hands soon enough…hopefully they’ll allow you to stretch out the luxury of a birthday a little bit longer.
Assuming everyone bent to your every whim.
They did didn’t they?
Either way, Happy Birthday, Mom!

Sorry about the absence of a post lately, it seems like I haven’t had a lot of time to make one.
Firstly, a lot of games are on the horizon that I’m excited for, namely some of the ones I’ve pre-ordered:
• Fable 2
• Fallout 3
• Gears of War 2
Needless to say this Fall is going to be quite the season for blockbuster titles. There are a few more that I still need to pre-order (Rock Band 2, Mirror’s Edge, Portal: Still Alive, and Resident Evil 5), but I’ll get to them soon enough.
In other news, I’m really, really tired of all the iPhone news. My normal websites (like The Unofficial Apple Weblog) are absolutely chock-full of iPhone updates, and it gets really old, really fast. I’m pretty sure that even if I didn’t get a new iPhone I wouldn’t care about all of this stuff they’re prattling on about. Some stupid app that lets you calculate tips or mix colors or catch a ball in a cup, OH BOY!
I’d estimate that about 9/10 posts on there at this point are iPhone-related. Gag unto me with a spoon.
Anyway, I suppose I’ll go enjoy some Supreme Commander now. Perhaps I’ll see some of you later once you get a newly-priced Xbox 360.

Like to give a big thanks to the family for having us down there for the first time in months. While we had seen them three weeks prior, it was nice to go away from the stresses of regularity and repetition for awhile.
As per the norm, we got a buttload of fireworks, and had one hell of a time shooting them off. Jack didn’t much care for them (too loud), we almost took out some eyeballs and almost set some folks on fire, but all in all, it was as great as always.
Now, while I didn’t care for the “fly on a plane for five hours, and then sit in a car for four hours and then not be able to actually relax until five days later” aspect of it, I’m hoping that won’t happen again.
Like, ever.
But again, a big thanks to the family, and we’ll see you for Thanksgiving if not before!

P.S. Diablo 3 came out solely because of my logical and fact-founded letter to Blizzard three years ago.
You’re welcome.
