Now Ad-Free (Again)!
Hey, you know what’s awesome?
Well, yes. That’s awesome. And that too. Okay, okay. How’s about I just answer the question?
Free money.
You know what sucks?
Stupid ads.
They’re gay, and their butt smells. I had always kind of regretted putting google ads on this site. Well no more! As of today, I am removing all of the Google Ads, Links, Search boxes, and Referrer Programs form my site.
One of the reasons for this is I had always sponsored the hosting and all of that crap when I started this. And everyone enjoys an ad-free site. But another reason for getting rid of Google? The shameful payout.
Behold:

Oh snap. Can I get that in a Cashiers Check?
Anyways, that’s all for now. I just wanted to let you all know that your BrokenJpg experience will no longer be hounded by ads for ring tones, bodily enlargements, or Firefox.
Ahem. You’re welcome.

Just writing this post to inform everyone that I’m changing my primary BrokenJpg email address.
Before today I was simply using imurray@brokenjpg.com, and now I am migrating to the new ian@brokenjpg.com
Update your address books, your PDAs, your Email programs, your little black books, and whatever other storage devices you keep my emails under. Because at End of Day on Friday of this Week (the 16th), that email address will cease to exist.
Why? Well, I always thought “imurray” was hard enough to explain even without “brokenjpg” after it. I liked the simplicity of the email I gave Alaina (alaina@brokenjpg.com), so I guess it’s partially from that.
The real reason I’m switching addresses though is to combat the endless wave of Spam I’m now getting. That’s how bad it’s getting. I have to capitalize the noun. I will receive anywhere between 20 to 50 Spam emails a day, and I believe it all started when I signed up for the God-awful trickery on a website that consisted of some mixture of the words “Free”, “Xbox”, and “360″.
Oh well. I’ve already migrated all of my online necessities over to the new email, so at least on that end I’ll be set, but I just don’t want to leave anyone out to dry that may want to contact me in the near (or far-flung) future.
So there you go.
Change my contact information.

3 commentsFirst!
Well, first day down.
Not much to report, just chillin’ like a villain.
Good to have more to post about, and good to be posting more as well. It also warms my heart to see the amount of comments per post is going up as well. Alaina told me that Lorna actually checks her site every day. And even when she’s read a post, she’ll re-read it. Oh Lorns.
Either way, I just got my face melted by a bunch of COD 4 content lately. It’s probably one of the only war-simulation games I’ve ever been even remotely interested in, and I think it’s because it’s set in present day. The Infrared deaths from on high, the dead-of-night sniper missions, the delicious modern weaponry. Oh yes.
I’m also looking forward to shredding some strings and pounding some skins with the Dad-monster. You know…assuming he’ll be picking up Rock Band.
Ahem.

So.
Thanks for all the mad love and prayers.
I got the job.
We met in the Owner/CEO’s home office.
We took our seats in these swanky-ass super comfy leather chairs.
We talked.
Long story short, he made it very clear that of all the applicants, he and his CIO thought I was not only the most talented, but the best fit for their company. He told me of their delicious amount of benefits, and their slew of vacation days. I was almost sure my eyes rolled back in their sockets and newer, more dollar sign shaped irises rolled into view. So, I was supposed to go to an interview in Marlborough, NH yesterday, and I thought I’d write just a bit about that.
As far as directions, I was given this:
Thank you for the call today. I have confirmed your appointment on Friday, November 9 at 11AM at our NH satellite office. The address is 76 Westpoint Drive, Marlborough, NH. You’ll meet with our CEO, Joseph Marinucci.
Okay.
So, I Mapquested it. I was given the words “MapQuest found a similar location for “76 Westpoint Drive, Marlborough, NH”. Please select “Get Directions” or revise your search.”
You know what would have been helpful? If Mapquest had either given me a list of the similar locations, or had said “We’re sorry, this address does not exist”. That would have raised some sort of red flag in my head, and I could have called him for directions.
But whatever. Read more

Yes.
Oh yes.
Just thought I’d pass along some tasty news. I’m now privy to the new movie “The Mist”.
Why is it important? Well, for one thing, it’s from the master of terror.
For another, it’s my favorite short story of his to date.
Trapped in a convenience store? Check.
Loss of electricity? Check.
Faceless monstrosities lurking outside? Check.
I’m just hoping it doesn’t get mangled in translation. I mean, look what happened to Resident Evil. Ouch.

It sure is hard to keep up with Alaina.
It seems like every day she’s adding a new post or two. The only bad thing about this is that her current blog setup doesn’t allow to look at past posts, so she may have to switch it out for a different look soon.
Though those dandelions sure are cute.
Finished up painting all the rooms yesterday. They’re looking pretty bitchin’, but Alaina expressed some concern over the ceiling over the upstairs room. Rightly so: Alaina’s younger sister used to reside in this room many years ago, and she felt it necessary to carve “Beth + Dong” up there. But then she had a new guy named Jon, so she scratched out “Dong” and scribbled in “Jon”.
So it kind of looks like this:

Update! Alaina just got off the phone with her mother, and it would seem that she, if not along with Alaina’s older sister Brittany will be fixing up the ceiling.
Sweet.
