CS3 on February 12? [Updated x1]

First things first. Adobe shipped the company I work for a bad CS2 package. It’s not that the packaging itself was bad, it’s the fact that, of 4 discs, there were two copies of disc 2.
So my boss called Adobe on it, and after a little back and forth about making sure we were the owners, exchanging serial numbers, and giving them nearly every bit of information we could, they finally decided to make good, and said they were going to ship us another copy of the $1600 suite.
This was Thursday the 1st. My boss had authorized them to use his FedEx account to get it to us next day (Friday) on or before 10 a.m. Never showed up.
Over the weekend. No box.
Monday (today). No-show.
So I took the initiative and called Adobe. After sitting on hold for half an hour, I told the Adobe rep on the other end my dilemma, and was put on hold again. My boss had me transfer the call over to him. I guess he wanted to feel in control. Or something.
So after my boss waited for another 30 minutes, he resumed relaying the problem.
Then he hung up the phone, and said everything was resolved.
“So..what happened?”
“Oh, apparently Adobe has been having some shipping problems with CS2, and since they’ve discontinued it…they’re shipping us CS3.”
Silence from me, and then: “They’re….shipping us…a suite that won’t be released for months?”
“Yeah.”
It was then that I shook his hand, and even as I write this, I am unable to figure out how he did it.
I’ll keep you all posted if this is the real deal. We’ll see if Adobe just decides to ship me a product that the rest of the world won’t get for a long time.
[I still hate the new icons, though.]
[Update: My boss is dumber than a bag of hammers. They sent us CS2. How that can be construed for CS3 is beyond me.]
